After the hearts in the mouth stuff the first time round, Tuesday 18th brings the sequal. East Fife-Dunfermline 2: The Silence of the Pars.

With a home tie, live on SKY TV, against the holders Celtic at the end of the rainbow, Scottish Cup fever has gripped all of those with black and gold blood in their veins. The game can't come quick enough. The players are ready to give their all for the cause again and the Fife faithful are ready to back the guys from the stands 200%, from start to finish.

To help get us in the mood, like we really needed any help, AFTN has been speaking to East Fife captain Greig McDonald about the game and the excitement that's already been:

AFTN: THE FIRST DUNFERMLINE GAME WAS A BRILLIANT TEAM PERFORMANCE. HOW DID THE PLAYERS FEEL AT THE END? PROUD TO FORCE THE REPLAY OR FRUSTRATED THAT THEY DIDN'T KILL IT OFF?

GREIG: I think we all felt proud of the way we played and pleased that a premier league team found it hard to break our shape and also that we caused them problems. There was a wee bit frustration that we didn't win the game but we have a chance to put that right on Tuesday.

AS EX PLAYERS, IT MUST HAVE MEANT A LOT TO BOTH YOURSELF AND CRAIG LUMSDEN TO PUT IN SUCH A GOOD DISPLAY?

Although me and Lummy still know a few of the players and staff at the club, a lot of people including the manager at the time have left the club, but it was still great to be up against them.

YOU HAD A COUPLE OF GREAT CHANCES YOURSELF TO SCORE THE DRAMATIC GIANT KILLING WINNER AND YOU MUST HAVE THOUGHT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE THAT STEVIE NIC'S EFFORT WAS GOALBOUND.

I would expect myself to do better with the header I put over, it was great cross from Frankie and I just got too much on it. I was right behind Stevie's shot and I still can't believe Stillie got it over the bar, it was one of the best saves I've seen in a match.

WERE YOU SURPRISED AT THE SEEMINGLY SMALL GULF BETWEEN A THIRD DIVISION SIDE AND A SPL ONE?

Dunfermline are a quality team but in a cup tie anything can happen, look at Man Utd and Exeter, and on the day we matched them, we have to match them again on Tuesday so that gulf doesn't show.

HOW ARE THE GUYS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE REPLAY?

To be honest we've not spoken about it much because we have a big league match on Saturday in Peterhead and our focus has to be on that.

DO YOU THINK THE PLASTIC PITCH WILL HAVE A BIG IMPACT?

I think naturally Dunfermline have a slight advantage as they train on it everyday, although we trained on it on Wednesday. There's no real point complaining about the surface because its not going to change so we just have to get on with it, after all we play on uneven muddy pitches throughout the season so why not plastic ones?

THE CELTIC GAME ON THE HORIZON MUST BE THE BIGGEST CARROT YOU COULD HAVE HOPED FOR?

You don't need much incentive when you're a part-time player to beat a Premier league team, especially local rivals, but if you did then Celtic are it. It's a fantastic prospect for the clubs, financially and for the supporters. But we must concentrate solely on the Dunfermline game and deal with the prospect of Celtic after Tuesday.

WITHOUT GETTING TOO FAR AHEAD OF OURSELVES, THE LIVE TV ASPECT IS ALSO HUGE? WE'D LIKE TO SEE THE PLAYERS TRYING TO GET ON SOCCER AM'S SHOWBOAT SECTION. ANY TAKERS?

Do you have to ask?! I think Brian Fairbairn could be up for that. Brain has great feet and is a defender's nightmare so I could see the wee man being on it, or at least in the nutmeg files.

TELL THE FANS, ARE WE GOING TO DO IT?

We have a huge task in front of us and I cant guarantee a result, but I can guarantee every player in an East Fife jersey giving 100% and with the fans help then hopefully we can.

WELL GREIG, I DON'T THINK THE FANS COULD ASK FOR ANYTHING MORE. WE'LL ALL BE THERE ON TUESDAY NIGHT AND THE PLAYERS WILL GET FULL VOCAL BACKING FOR THE WHOLE NINETY MINUTES FROM START TO FINISH.
