This section never took off on AFTN. We'd planned to do a little profile on some well known fans and ask them for their opinions on the games that month, the team, the price of bread and just life in general.

Suits You Sir!

Get inside the psyche of those that sit amongst you! It could have been quite scary!

It never took off (people were probably just that little bit TOO scared!) and like so many ideas of AFTN in the past it went to that big Fanzine heaven in the sky!

We managed two very different fan profiles though and they've both been kept in this section for your enjoyment.

We kicked off our "Fan of the Month" section in May 2004 with that all round good egg, Paul Galloway.

Paul had just become the inaugural AFTN Prediction League champion (a title he would go on to hold the following season as well) and was a well known face amongst the fans from the 1970's

So what does he have to say for himself? AFTN caught up with him to find out......

AFTN: How long have you been watching East Fife for?

PAUL: 28 YEARS. MY GRANDAD (TAM) TOOK ME AS PUNISHMENT WHEN I MISBEHAVED

AFTN: Can you remember your first match? or earliest memories if you can't

PAUL: VAGUELY REMEMBER 3-2 DEFEAT AT HOME TO HEARTS IN THE CUP

AFTN: How have you viewed this season?

PAUL: I FEEL WE HAVE BEEN A BIT TOO CAUTIOUS, ESPECIALLY 1ST HALF. MIDFIELD HAS BEEN TOO LIGHTWEIGHT, BUT THE MAJORITY OF PLAYERS IN THE TEAM ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY IN DIV 2. - IF PLAYED IN THEIR CORRECT POSITIONS. HOPEFULLY THIS SEASON WILL BE A LEARNING CURVE FOR THE MANAGER AND HOPEFULLY WE WILL STAY UP

PAUL: UNLIKE MANIC MINER AND GLEN ******, SLIM!

AFTN: What would you like to see done to improve Scottish football?

PAUL: GET RID OF THE OLD FIRM AND ALL THE BIGOTED BAGGAGE THEY CARRY WITH THEM

AFTN: Have you got a message to the other East Fife fans?

PAUL: HATS OFF FOR SUPPORTING YOUR LOCAL TEAM AND REMEMBER TO BUY THE WINNER OF THE PREDICTION LEAGUE A BEER.....WHOEVER HE IS!!!!
