East Fife announced before the Dunfermline friendly on July 21st that they had secured the signature of Darren Gourlay.
Darren is a 19 year old, 5'10" defender, and played a couple of pre-season games as a trialist in the right back position, where he impressed Stevie Crawford before signing.

From what we've initially been able to find out, he made 8 appearances for the reserves last season, scoring one goal. He had also been the captain of the Posh youth side.
Darren had been unable to break into Peterborough's first team reckoning and the Club loaned him out to non league St Neots Town in the United Counties Football League Premier Division, which is the 5th level of the non league football pyramid.
Despite getting good reports from the Saints, Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson freed Gourlay at the end of the season in a mass clear out at the Club and he has returned north of the border.
Will we see either of these players sign at East Fife for the coming season? Only Stevie Crawford knows the answer to that one.
